Who are Global Ecosphere Retreats®?

Becoming a Global Ecosphere Retreat®

The Long Run Members who successfully undergo the GER® recognition process become  Global Ecosphere Retreats® – GER® recognised. This process involves the completion of a baseline assessment, the development of a '4C Plan' and Annual Activity Schedule, external assessment by The Long Run team and thereafter annual monitoring and reporting and the implementation of the 4C Plan.

The current Global Ecosphere Retreats® include existing founding members of The Long Run; Long Run Members who have undergone this rigorous GER® recognition process.

What is a 4C plan?

The "4C Plan" is a strategic planning document unique to each member of The Long Run, which outlines outcomes, results and activities within the 4Cs: Conservation, Community, Culture and Commerce.

The plan covers a three to five year period and is used to communicate The Long Run Member’s sustainability goals and clearly outline the steps toward achieving them.
