So far, over 12,000 people in Laikipia, Kenya, have received free medical treatment at the camps run at each football match, nearly 1,000 trees have been planted and thousands of people have been involved in environmental activities - the Laikipia and Beyond Unity Cup (LUC) football tournament comes to a close on 21&22 July.
The annual Laikipia and Beyond Unity Cup (LUC) football tournament, a flagship project of the Zeitz Foundation, demonstrates the Long Run on the ground. The LUC aims to create unity and understanding amongst the diverse communities of Laikipia, Kenya, and raise awareness of environmental issues. The LUC is the first event of its kind in Laikipia and this first edition has been crowned with success.
