As the first privately-managed area in East Africa to voluntarily submit to a Fair Labor Association audit, Segera, supported by the Zeitz Foundation, strives to continuously assess its successes and identify problem areas in order to raise its own standards and work towards improving labor conditions, social relations, and the well-being of its employees. As such it is currently working on further improvements based on the first audit, which was conducted in August of 2008.
