WITH THE SUPPORT OF THE ZEITZ FOUNDATION, LONG RUN DESTINATIONS – GLOBAL ECOSPHERE RETREATS® (GER) CERTIFIED DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT SUSTAINABLE PROJECTS AROUND THE WORLD. THESE PROJECTS ARE BOTH SOCIALLY AND ECOLOGICALLY RESPONSIBLE
AS THEY ARE CENTRED ON THE 4CS
(CONSERVATION, COMMUNITY, CULTURE AND COMMERCE) APPROACH.
At a bare minimum, each project encompasses 2 of the 4cs, and in many cases all four, thus contributing to enhanced ecosystems management and improved livelihoods. Their outcomes in the form of lessons learnt create a novel body of knowledge and provide unmatched learning and information exchange opportunities for other members of the long run initiative; effectively making Long Run Destinations – GER® certified centres for best practice in sustainability.
